At A9 Soccer, we have coaches that have coached in the U.S. and internationally, with coaching qualifications from the U.S. and Europe, and are able to use a range of coaching tools to help your soccer players improve not only their technique, but also their game understanding. We are committed to developing players that can play with freedom: The freedom to play expansively and with great creativity, but also the freedom to play with confidence and without fear. We embrace mistakes and use them as a teaching tool. After all, we learn and develop through the mistakes we make. 

Programs

A9 Kids (3 and 4 year olds)

Our A9 Kids programs are tons of fun. We use storytelling to engage players while developing the ABC’s (Agility, Balance, and Coordination) of motor development. Our games also encourage your child to use a variety of techniques (e.g. dribbling, turning, passing and striking) as part of the story. In effect, they are learning without realizing it. The coach guides the players with the story, creating a sense of free play, which encourages the players to try different techniques and develop their technique, skill acquisition, critical thinking, but best of all, their love of the game. A9 Soccer Center of Excellence (5 and 6 year olds)

Our Center of Excellence combines some story telling with more technical based training, while introducing the children to the rules and etiquette of the game. Our age appropriate approach to training will ensure your child has fun while developing our 6 key pillars of youth development (Technical, Physical, Psychological, Social, Tactical and Emotional).

 

Strength and Conditioning (High School ages)

Strength and Conditioning training is extremely important in enhancing performance, but more so in injury prevention. The high school season is intense with training every day and, on most weeks, two games a week. It would be fair to say that the high school season is very compact, so good preparation is key.

A9 Soccer’s Strength and Conditioning program is periodized to get players to peak fitness at the right time, the beginning of the high school season. The program comes in 4 phases: Preparation, Hypertrophy, Strength and Speed/Power, and is designed to cover the major principles or soccer fitness, including:

  • Strength

  • Endurance (aerobic and anaerobic)

  • Speed

  • Power

  • Flexibility
